Biofuel Conversions

"Systems converted to E10 and E85 (an ethanol/ gasoline blend) and biodiesel blends must be cleaned properly. We've heard from retail and fleet partners about the thorough, professional and price competitive services Optic Clean Fuel (the system used by Atlantic Clean Fuel) provides. Thank-you for performing this important role in expanding the availability of clean fuels," said Tim Gerlach, vice president of Clean Fuels and Vehicle Technologies for the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest."

Tank Cleaning for Biofuel Conversions

The fiber optic vacuum system owned by Atlantic Clean Fuel was introduced in Minnesota in 2001. This coincided with the tremendous growth of biofuels in the Midwest. This proved to be a perfect marriage and most of the biofuel conversions in the Midwest have been performed using this system.

All tanks should be cleaned periodically. Water and sludge occurs and causes problems such as clogged filters, slow flow, customer complaints and leads to tank deterioration, shortening the life of the tank itself.

As bad as water and contamination is in regular or diesel fuel, it is much worse if it exists in any biofuels. ALL TANKS BEING CONVERTED TO ANY FORM OF BIOFUELS MUST BE PROPERLY CLEANED. Any amount of water will mix with the bio agent and can ruin a whole tank of biofuel. This applies to any mixture be it E-10, E-85 or any percentage of biodiesel.

Atlantic Clean Fuel with its fiber optic vacuum system is the finest and most efficient cleaning program available for biofuel conversion.
