FAQ

Q. What quantity of fuel should be "in the tank for cleaning"?

A. We request that approximately 24" of fuel or more be present during cleaning. More than 24" is good, less reduces suction.

Q. Can dispenser pumps be used during cleaning?

A. Yes, however, if tanks are quite dirty and dispensers are active, some debris may reach your filters and they will need to be changed.

Q. How often should tanks be cleaned?

A. Some folks clean their tanks annually; this is ideal for long tank life.  Certainly tanks should be cleaned every 2 to 3 years.

Q. Does ACF do service work?

A. We will sell and change filters, replace caps and other minor tank related maintenance. (ACF is a distributor of quality filters and replacement parts. Contact your petroleum service company for extensive service needs.)

Q. How long does a tank-cleaning take?

A. There is no set time period to clean a tank.  We spend as much time as it needs.  Typically, this would be 1 to 3 hours.

Q. What does tank cleaning cost?

A. We do not have a price sheet, because every situation is different.  For example, we can do multiple tanks for less than one tank.  Some above ground tanks require two men and are more work and therefore will command a higher price.

We need to be competitive to stay busy, and our customers tell us we are very competitive with other top cleaners with professional equipment.
